The model home in White Oak PreserveThis neighborhood is being developed by M/I Homes. Construction and sales of new homes are moving forwrd, with work on the last section of homes in progress in early 2020. The model home has been open since late 2016.

White Oak Preserve Homes

When completed, White Oak Preserve will have 190 single-family residences built in 2 phases of the subdivision. The community will connect to FM-967 at Oyster Creek Dr. (which will also run west through the Whispering Hollow and Elm Grove neighborhoods). 

A view of construction in White Oak Preserve 78610Per the builder, the community offers buyers the opportunity to purchase one of 12 designs that range in size from about 1,825 sq. ft. to 3,366 sq. ft. These 1- and 2-story homes will feature 3-5 bedrooms, 2-3.5 baths. In February 2020 the base prices of these homes start at $315k and go up to $375k. The homes will be built on standard 50'-wide lots, though some on corner- and irregularly-shaped lots will be larger.

All of their plans, from the M/I Homes' new Signature Series, come with many standard, included features. Some of these plans allow additional architectural features to be added if desired (study, rear covered patio, game room, bay window in the master bedroom, for example).

White Oak Preserve Amenities and Area Features

Homeowners in White Oak Preserve will be able to enjoy a community swimming pool, a playground for children, along with a sports court and sports lawn. It will also feature over 30 acres of green space.

The City of Buda's quaint and Historic Downtown section maintains its small-town feel in many respects, with a library and number of small businesses and shops. Buda's parks system includes its Historic Stagecoach Park A second view of the White Oak Preserve neighborhood(huge oak trees, amphitheater, walking paths, picnic and playground facitities) and a number of other public parks.

For shopping, eating and entertainment White Oak Preserve residents can choose from local places like Cabela's Outdoor Store, Logan's, Chili's, Super WalMart, and the HEB grocery store, or can go to destinations in Kyle and San Marcos (outlets and many others) to the south, and in Austin to the north (Southpark Meadows, for example).

Golfers can play at the Plum Creek Golf Club in Kyle, or at a number of other courses in the area. 

White Oak Preserve Homeowners Association and Taxes

White Oak Preserve residents are required to be members in the neighborhood HOA.  

Key taxing entities include the Hays CISD, the City of Buda and Hays County.

Public Schools for Students Living in White Oak Preserve Buda

Students who live in the White Oak Preserve community attend schools of the Hays Consolidated Independent School District. Prospective buyers of a home in White Oak Preserve should confirm the currently assigned schools and other school information with the Hays CISD.
