The neighborhood pool in Whispering Hollow Buda!The development of Whispering Hollow began in 2005 and was completed in 2018.

The developer designed two sections: Whispering Hollow (the first developed) and the Estates of Whispering Hollow. Homes in the Estates section are typically built on larger lots and generally have more features than those in the original section. Both sections are now fully completed.


Builders were CalAtlantic Homes (formerly Ryland Homes), Standard Pacific Homes and Clark Wilson Homes.


Standard home features found in Whispering Hollow homes will vary by year built and with any features/updates added by current or prior home owners. These may include up-to-date kitchens, energy-efficient HVAC units, low-E windows, full landscaping, privacy fences, and any remaining time on the 10-year structural warranties.   


Whispering Hollow ♦ Features and Amenities


The community has an active Home Owner's Association (Whispering Hollow HOA). Membership in the HOA is mandatory. The fees provide for landscaping and upkeep of the roads and entries to the neighborhood, and the community center/park.

The Whispering Hollow neighborhood also has a community amenity center with swimming pool, playground for children, picnic pavilion for family and neighbor gatherings and green area.


Whispering Hollow Community: Shopping, Recreation, Etc.

Travel from Whispering Hollow to Austin is best now via the new tollway SH-45 SW that connects FM-1626 and MOPAC (Loop 1). FM-1626 can also be followed north directly to IH-35, or south to Kyle. Whispering Hollow residents can also take FM-967 through the Historic Downtown Buda to IH-35. 


Shopping close to the Whispering Hollow subdivision includes a Super Wal-Mart, an HEB Plus grocery store, Cabela’s outdoor sports store, a number of venues in Kyle at IH-35 and FM-1626, the Premium Outlets and Tanger Outlet in San Marcos, and South Austin’s huge Southpark Meadows development at I-35 and W. Slaughter Lane.


The closest golf clubs are Plum Creek Golf Club (in Kyle) and Grey Rock Golf Club (Circle C Ranch). Other outdoors options include several parks operated by the City of Buda, the two City of Austin Metro parks along W. Slaughter Lane, Zilker Park, and McKinney Falls State Park.


Whispering Hollow Subdivision ♦ Public Schools

Students who live in Whispering Hollow attend schools of the Hays Consolidated Independent School District. Prospective Whispering Hollow homeowners should verify current school assignments and other school information with the Hays CISD.
