The neighborhood pool in Whispering Hollow Buda!The neighborhood has two sections: Whispering Hollow (the first developed) and the Estates of Whispering Hollow. Homes in the Estates section are built on larger lots and generally have more features than those in the original section. The development of Whispering Hollow began in 2005 and is is continuing into 2013.

 

New homes are currently being built by Ryland Homes and Clark Wilson Homes. Standard Pacific Homes, one of the original builders in Whispering Hollow, completed its work in in the subdivision in the Summer of 2011.

 

Whispering Hollow ♦ Home Features and Amenities

 

The community has an active Home Owner's Association (Whispering Hollow HOA). Membership in the HOA is mandatory, as are the fees, which in early 2013 were set at $33/month. The fees provide for landscaping and upkeep of the roads and entries to the neighborhood, and the community center/park. 

 

Standard home features include gourmet kitchens, 14 SEER HVAC units, low E windows, full landscaping, privacy fences, and 10-year structural warranties. The homes in Whispering Hollow are both 1- and 2-story models that range in size from just over 1,500 sq. ft. to over 3,550 sq. ft. Typical sales prices range from the $170's to the mid-$300's.

The Whispering Hollow neighborhood also has a community amenity center with swimming pool, playground for children, picnic pavilion for family and neighbor gatherings and green area.

 

Whispering Hollow Community: Shopping, Recreation, Etc.

 

Shopping close to the Whispering Hollow subdivision includes a Super Wal-Mart, an HEB Plus grocery store, Cabela’s outdoor sports store, the Tangier Outlet Mall in San Marcos, and South Austin’s huge Southpark Meadows development at I-35 and W. Slaughter Lane.

 

The closest golf clubs are Plum Creek Golf Club (in Kyle) and Grey Rock Golf Club (Circle C Ranch). Other outdoors options include several parkes operated by the City of Buda, the two City of Austin Metro parks along W. Slaughter Lane & Zilker Park, and McKinney Falls State Park.
