New homes going up in The Hollow at Slaughter Creek subdivision in South Austin!This new home community (also sometimes called The Hollows at Slaughter Creek) is being developed on some prime South Austin real estate by well-known home builder Pulte Homes, which also built the nearby Stablewood at Slaughter Creek subdivision. When this featured neighborhood page was added in early November 2011, the basic infrastructure (streets, lighting, drainage, etc.) had been completed, and construction of the first few homes, including the model, had started.

When completed, the neighborhood will have 212 single-family homes on its approximately 37 acres of land.

Information from Pulte about the The Hollow at Slaughter Creek says that base prices of the homes range from the mid $160's to around $190k. These four single-family residences will have living spaces of 1,273 sq. ft. (1-story) and 1,730 to 1,980 sq. ft. (2-story). 

Homes in The Hollow at Slaughter Creek will have many standard features that are on the list of buyers who want to live in this area. These include energy efficiency features like 14-SEER A/C systems, low-E vinyl windows, and radiant barrier decking. The kitchens will feature ceramic tile backsplashes, 30" or 36" picture frame cabinets, ceramic tile flooring, Whirlpool appliances, and more. The homes will have 3 bedrooms, 2 or 2.5 baths, full sod and sprinkler system, and more.

The Hollow at Slaughter Creek Subdivision ♦ Neighborhood and Local Amenities

This new subdivision is conveniently located close to many of the older and newish shopping and eating places along W. Slaughter Lane. The closest of these is Tanglewood Village (HEB groceries). Other major stops include popular Southpark Meadows (Sam's Club, WalMart and Target) at W. Slaughter Lane and IH-35, and Shady Hollow Village (Randalls groceries). There are plenty of eateries and other retail businesses nearby, as well as access to Mopac and IH-35 via W. Slaughter. Manchaca Rd. leads to Downtown Austin via Lamar Blvd.

Nearby public parks include the Mary Moore Searight Park, the Dick Nichols Park off Beckett Road, and the Metro Park in Circle C. Golfers can knock it around on some daily fee courses, including the Jimmy Clay and Roy Kizer courses in East Austin and the Grey Rock Golf Club in Circle C Ranch.
