The Summer Pointe neighborhood is being developed by Pacesetter Homes. In January 2017, home construction and sales are continuing, though opportunities to purchase a home here are drawing to a close. When completed, the subdivision will have around 80 single-family residences.
The builder currently offers 14 different plans in their Craftsman Plus Series. These homes range in size from the smallest single-story plan (1,755 sq. ft.) to the largest 2-story model (3,117 sq. ft. with an option for another 163 sq. ft.). Base prices for these homes begin at $263,400 and go upward to around $311k. There are 14 total plans offered in Summer Pointe (six 1-story-3 or 4 bedrooms, and 8 two-level plans-3-5 bedrooms and 2.5-3 baths). The roadway between Summer Pointe and Brodie Lane in Southwest Austin (FM-1626) was completed in 2015. The addition of 2 more lanes has greatly improved travel and road safety for residents headed toward Austin for jobs and shopping, and home from work. Shopping developments in Buda along IH-35 (accessed via FM-967) include Cabela's (a favorite stop of outdoor sports lovers, major stores like Super Wal-Mart and the HEB Plus grocery store. In addition, there are a number places to eat (Logan's Road House, Cracker Barrel, and Chili's, e.g.).
To the south of Buda along IH-35, there are more stores and shops in Kyle and in San Marcos (Tanger Outlets, Premium Outlets). The most popular shopping center on the north side of Buda is the Southpark Meadows development at IH-35 and W. Slaughter Lane.
The closest golf clubs are Grey Rock Golf Club (owned by the City of Austin, located in Circle C Ranch) and the Plum Creek Golf Club (in Kyle). There are many close-by park and outdoor facilities, including the City of Buda park adjacent to Summer Pointe, several other parks operated by the City of Buda, the City of Austin Metro and Searight parks along W. Slaughter Lane, Zilker Park, and McKinney Falls State Park.
