Initial homebuyers in Stinson Oaks chose from six different plans offered by MileStone. These included one single-story model (The Frio) with 1,509 sq. ft. of living space, and five two-story plans with 1,637 to 2,273 sq. ft. (San Jacinto, Colorado, Guadalupe, San Bernard, and Lamar).

Slaughter Ln.), Tanglewood Village (Manchaca Rd. and W. Slaughter), the Shops at Arbor Trails (Mopac and William Cannon), and those in and near Sunset Valley.

The neighborhood has a small community park and is not far from the Mary Moore Searight Metro Park, owned and operated by the City of Austin. Golfers can try their hand at Jimmy Clay and Roy Kizer public courses, along with the Plum Creek and Grey Rock (now owned by the City of Austin) courses. There are several ways to get to Downtown Austin, including Manchaca/Lamar, South 1st and IH-35.

Owners of a home in the Stinson Oaks neighborhood pay mandatory HOA fees to provide complete front and back yardcare (including landscaping & irrigation), trash pickup, and other common area maintenance.
