Neighborhood Location: The Star Ranch neighborhood is located on the eastern end of Gattis School Road near its intersection with the SH-130 tollway.  The first home sales closed in Star Ranch occurred in October 2003. In May 2011, four builders (Perry Homes, Pacesetter Homes, Wilshire Homes and Meritage Homes) were building new homes in the Star Ranch subdivision.
Homebuyers can choose from a variety of new home models and floor plans, or select a home that is on the resale home market. The homes that are being built or have been built in Star Ranch range in size from around 1,900 sq. ft. to more than 3,800 sq. ft. Sales prices in 2011 averaged over $205k.

The Golf Club at Star Ranch
 This club is one of the nicest in the Austin area! Featuring four sets of tee boxes, the course presents a challenge to golfers of all skill levels. From the "tips" the course plays 7,017 yards. It features rolling hills, sand and water ... and some very nice greens. It is a popular course for play and for tournaments.
The Golf Club at Star Ranch also has great facilities. These include a 15,000 sq. ft. club house, a driving range, a well-stocked pro shop, cafe, locker rooms and more.
Star Ranch HOA and Community Center: As part of their ownership privileges, homeowners in Star Ranch have access to a nice neighborhood swimming pool and playground area for their children. Property owners are requred to maintain an active  membership in the Star Ranch Community HOA. When this page was posted in 5/2011, HOA fees were $380 annually.
Future Development: The future plans for this 1,000-acre master-planned development are ambitious! They include more residential and multi-family development, retail facilities (including an HEB grocery store and other small businesses), an elementary school, and additional roadways.
Star Ranch ♦ Taxes
Taxes in Star Ranch are typical of neighborhoods whose water and sewer service are provided through water or municipal utility districts. Tax rates in 2010 were around $2.95/$100 of property value, and are assessed by one of the school districts, Williamson County, WCID#3 and others.

Star Ranch Hutto-Pflugerville ♦ Public Schools for Neighborhood Students
The Star Ranch subdivision is located within the boundaries of two ISD's. Some of the subdivision is in the boundaries of the Hutto Independent School District, including some homes on the south side of Gattis School Road. The remaining homes south of Gattis School Road are in the Pflugerville Independent School District.
