Hill Country Setting ♦ Senna Hills
The lovely setting of Senna Hills in the hill country west of Austin makes it a wonderful place to call home. It is not far from Senna Hills to Austin, its jobs and the varied parks and activities that cause many to make Austin their home.
The community is just a couple of miles from the new Hill Country Galleria and the Shops at the Galleria in the Village of Bee Cave. The neighborhood is also just a few miles from Lakeway and it shopping venues and Lake Travis. There are a number of private and public golf courses nearby, including those at Barton Creek, Lakeway and Falconhead. Lake Travis is a short drive from Senna Hills.
Senna Hills ♦ Development History
The development of the Senna Hills subdivision began in 1994. Homes were built in the neighborhood through 2001. In July 2005, Sonterra Energy Corp. announced that it was going to expand its propane distribution system to Senna Hills. At the time, it served some 114 homes. The expansion was designed to allow development of more residential lots in Senna Hills. The building of these new homes began in 2006 and was completed mid-2012.

Home buyers in Senna Hills can choose from many home options: garden or "regular" homes and sizes that vary widely. Typical lot sizes for "regular homes" in Senna Hills are ¼-acre to 0.35 acres. The homes range in size from nearly 1,859 sq. ft. garden homes to homes that have over 6,000 sq. ft. of living space. Sold prices for the year 2012 ranged from $380,000 to $745,000.
Senna Hills Austin ♦ Builders
Two excellent builders constructed the feature-packed homes in the Senna Hills neighborhood. Taylor Morrison Homes built several models of garden homes with up to 3,000 sq. ft., and other plans with living spaces beginning at 3,100 sq. ft. Drees Custom Homes built a number of more expensive 2-story home plans in the community with a minimum of 3,140 sq. ft. of space.
The Senna Hills Community Center
The Senna Hills neighborhood amenity center has a large swimming pool, wading pool and playscape for children, and basketball and tennis courts. The community also features walking trails in the surrounding greenbelt.
Membership in the Senna Hills Owner’s Association (HOA) is mandatory. HOA fees are around $80/month. The Senna Hills HOA website (Goodwin Management) has community news, restrictions & by-laws and a yearly calendar of neighborhood events.

2012 tax rates in Senna Hills totaled $2.41 per $100 of property value. Taxing authorities include Travis County, Eanes Independent School District, Senna Hills MUD and Travis County hospital and emergency service districts. Tax rates generally change from year to year.
