Searight Village ♦ Builders
Begun in 2015, this subdivision of roughly 240 homes is a joint venture of MileStone Community Builders, and Pulte Homes. MileStone has developed other South Austin neighborhoods like Southbridge Villas, Stinson Oaks and the Courtyards of Southpark Meadows. Pulte is completing its work in the Hollow at Slaughter Creek (just west of this site).
Homes in Searight Village
In January 2016, MileStone is building 5 different plans in Searight Village. Included are one single-story plan (The Seaholm, 1,272 sq. ft.) and four 2-story plans (San Jacinto, Guadalupe, San Bernard, and Lamar) that range in size from 1,637 to 2,273 sq. ft. of living space. All of the plans have 2-car garages. Base prices begin at $253,990.
Pulte is offering four 2-story plans with base prices starting at $268,990. These plans (Holden, Gordon, Woodmere and Rybrook) have from 1,786 to 2,413 sq. ft.
The homes in Searight Village include many standard interior and exterior features, such as full sod and sprinkler systems, energy-efficient windows, appliances, HVAC and insulation packages, raised 6-panel interior doors, granite kitchen countertops and undermount sinks, and more.
These stand-alone, single-family residences are legally site condos (site condomimiums) similar to other projects currently being built is the Austin area. Owners of these homes, in contrast to most condo-type homes, are responsible for maintaining insurance on their homes and for repairs and upkeep.
Area Features ♦ Searight Village
The Searight Village subdivision is located off a major E-W thoroughfare in SSW Austin (W. Slaughter Lane), which provides direct access to IH-35 and S. Mopac Blvd. Downtown Austin, jobs, schools, shopping and other venues are also fairly easily accessed via these roads and others in the area. Shopping options include Southpark Meadows (IH-35 South and W. Slaughter Ln.), Tanglewood Village (Manchaca Rd. and W. Slaughter), the Shops at Arbor Trails (Mopac and William Cannon), and those in and near Sunset Valley.
Searight Village is close to the Mary Moore Searight Metro Park and its facilities. This park is owned and operated by the City of Austin. Golfers can play at the Jimmy Clay and Roy Kizer public courses, and also at the Plum Creek Golf Club (located in Kyle) and the SW Austin Grey Rock Golf Club (now owned by the City of Austin, formerly the Circle C Golf Club).
