Sage Meadow Subdivision ♦ Builder
Begun in 2009, the Sage Meadow community is a development of builder D.R. Horton Homes. In May 2011, D.R. Horton is continuing to add new homes in the second and last section of Sage Meadow. When completed, Sage Meadow will have 163 condo homes.
Sage Meadow South Austin ♦ New Homes ♦ Condos
 Homes in Sage Meadow will come in eight models or floor plans. These include two single-story models of less than 1,400 sq. ft., and 6 two-story homes that range in size from 1,422 sq. ft. to 1,986 sq. ft. Base prices in May 2011 start at around $173k.
Sage Meadow homes have the same classic or "throwback" exterior look as in some other area D.R. Horton developments in South Austin: Sweetwater Glen and Grand Oaks. The homes are painted in various shades of muted pastels. Inside, the homes are equipped with features that make the them both livable and energy efficient.
The homes in Sage Meaow are being built as free-standing condominiums which will have a monthly condo association fee of $50/month.
Sage Meadow Subdivision ♦ Neighborhood and Local Amenities
 Sage Meadow has a small park with playscape and picnic table for the enjoyment of its residents. Just to the east of the neighborhood is the Mary Moore Searight Park (907 W. Slaughter Ln.), a public recreation area of the City of Austin. It has many features on its 344 acres, including a picnic areas, basketball and volleyball courts, and an 18-hole disc golf course.
The neighborhood is a hop, skip and a jump from Southpark Meadows, the newish residential, shopping and entertainment area at W. Slaughter Lane and IH-35. Shops include major anchors WalMart and Target, and a host of other restaurants and major and small businesses. If you need it, you probably can find it there. If not, there are plenty of other options nearby.
