Begun in 2009, the Sage Meadow community is a development of builder D.R. Horton Homes. In Buildout of all of the homes in Sage Meadow has been completed (163 total homes).

Sage Meadow homes have the same classic or "throwback" exterior look as in some other area D.R. Horton developments in South Austin: Sweetwater Glen and Grand Oaks. Sage Meadow has a small park with playscape and picnic table for the enjoyment of its residents. Just to the east of the neighborhood is the Mary Moore Searight Park (907 W. Slaughter Ln.), a public recreation area of the City of Austin. It has many features on its 344 acres, including a picnic areas, basketball and volleyball courts, and an 18-hole disc golf course.
The neighborhood is a hop, skip and a jump from Southpark Meadows, the newish residential, shopping and entertainment area at W. Slaughter Lane and IH-35. Shops include major anchors WalMart and Target, and a host of other restaurants and major and small businesses. If you need it, you probably can find it there. If not, there are plenty of other options nearby.
