Ridgeview Neighborhood Builders, Amenities and Features
Ridgeview Subdivision ♦ Homes ♦ Builders
The development of the Ridgeview neighborhood began in the Spring of 2012. Two builders, Ashton Woods Homes and Pulte Homes, began building new homes in October 2012. Pulte Homes is no longer building in the community.
In January 2016, Ashton Woods Homes has a limited number of options left in this community. Buyers can opt for its 1- and 2-story home models, which in January 2016 began at $393k and topped out at $473k. Their plans range in size from 2,252 sq. ft. to 3,605 sq. ft. These homes are "stocked" with many standard energy-saving and lifestyle features. New home buyers have plenty of options for upgrading their homes also.
Ridgeview ♦ Neighborhood Amenities & Features
Residents of Ridgview are now enjoying the recently-built community center with its lagoon-style pool and beach entrance, play area and more.
Ridgeview is being developed in a lovely area in the Southwest Austin hills. The subdivision is just a short drive from Downtown Austin and from any popular shopping, eating and entertainment venues. These include Escarpment Village in the Circle C Ranch development, Southpark Meadows, The Shops at Arbor Trails, Barton Creek Square Mall and the Hill Country Galleria development in Bee Caves.
Nearby golf courses include the Grey Rock and the Falconhead golf clubs. Other close-by features include public park areas (Metro in Circle C Ranch and Dick Nichols), the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center on the east side of Mopac in Circle C and plenty of hiking and biking trails. The Veloway, a public area set aside for rollerblading and bicycling, is located across from the Wildflower Center.
Ridgeview ♦ Taxes and HOA
Property taxes in Ridgeview subdivison are among the lowest in the Austin area. 2015 tax rates are estimated to be around $1.93 per $100 of property value. Taxing authorities inclde Travis County, the Austin ISD, and Austin Community College. Owners are not taxed by the City of Austin.
Ridgeview homeowners are required to be members in the Ridgeview Homeowners' Association (HOA).
Ridgeview Southwest Austin Subdivision ♦ Public Schools for Students
Children living in the Ridgeview neighborhood attend schools that are owned and operated by the Austin Independent School District. Since the school attendance boundaries are redrawn occasionally, buyers are encouraged to confirm with AISD the current school assignments before a home purchase.
