A view of homes in Post Oaks subdivision in Kyle, Texas.This community was begun in 2003 by Main Street Homes. Home construction by Main Street lasted through 2011. From 2012 through 2016, new homes were added by D. R. Horton Homes. The build-out of this community was finished in early 2018. 

The first Post Oak sale (as recorded in the Austin MLS) was on 10/31/03.  

The market report shown above gives a picture of homes ranging from right at 1,000 sq. ft. of living space to 2,327 sq. ft. The ongoing HOA fees are used for maintenance and upkeep of the neighborhood common areas in Post Oak. 

Taxes for owners of homes in Post Oak are assessed by the City of Kyle, the Hays Consolidated ISD, Hays County and several smaller entities.    

Post Oak Kyle Shopping, Travel and More

Post Oak Kyle residents have many options available nearby for shopping and eating that were not available until recent years.

Playscape in Post Oak KyleThese include Kyle-area developments (along IH-35) like The Village at Kyle (WalMart SuperCenter & Lowe's, e.g.) and Kyle Crossing and Kyle Marketplace (HEB Plus & Target, e.g.). Kyle also has a Home Depot and EVO Entertainment just to the north of these developments in Kyle Town Centre. The Ascension Seton Medical Center Hays, in The Village at Kyle, began operation in late 2009. There are quite a few emergency medical facilities in the area.

Other options include many in Buda (check out the Cabela's Outdoor World store, WalMart and HEB), and many in South Austin (the Southpark Meadows development has a WalMart, Sam's Club, RoomStore, Super Target, etc.). For those who like San Marcos, the Tanger Outlet & Premium Outlets are located just a few miles to the south on IH-35. Many places are available along IH-35 in New Braunfels and San Antonio.

Basketball court at Post OakIH-35 is easily accessed from Post Oak. Take FM-150 to the west, then hop onto IH-35, which runs north and south. Air travelers can get to the Austin Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA) via IH-35 to US-71-290 or via SH-45 just north of Buda to SH-130 north, then east on US-71/290 to ABIA.  

The Plum Creek Golf Course, located in Kyle, is very close to the Post Oak neighborhood. There, of course, are many other golf courses available in the areas in and around Austin and San Antonio.

Public Schools ♦ Students Living in the Post Oak Kyle

Students living in the Post Oak subdivision in Kyle go to schools operated by the Hays Consolidated Independent School District (HCISD). Parents are encouraged to verify current school assignments with the Hays CISD since school attendance boundaries are sometimes redrawn.
