Neighborhood Location: Pioneer Crossing is located in the high tech section of Northeast Austin, near Samsung Electronics and Dell Computers. The subdivision was developed in two sections, Pioneer Crossing West, which has its main entrance on East Braker Lane off Dessau Road, and Pioneer Crossing East, accessed via Samsung Blvd. from E. Parmer Lane. Residents of Pioneer Crossing can get to I-35 easily traveling west on Parmer Lane , to the new SH 130 Toll Road (SH 45) by going east on Parmer, and to US-183 and US-290 E via Dessau Road.

Pioneer Crossing is a residential real estate development on 1,400 acres in Northeast Austin. The area has gently rolling hills and trees. The first home sales in Pioneer Crossing were made in 2002. The neighborhood has two sections: Pioneer Crossing West (the first developed) and Pioneer Crossing East. Homes in Pioneer Crossing West were built by Newmark, Taylor Morrison, Lennar and Meritage Homes. These builders are not active in the community in 2011.
DR Horton Homes is still active in Pioneer Crossing West in early 2012.
Home Features & Amenities ♦ Pioneer Crossing Austin
The homes in Pioneer Crossing are both 1- and 2-story models that range in size from around small (about 1,200 sq. ft.) to large (almost 3,400 sq. ft.) Many standard features make the homes more livable and more efficient. If you are looking for a home in this area, you probably can find one that suits your dreams and your budget in Pioneer Crossing.
The Pioneer Crossing community has one Homeowners Association (HOA) for Pioneer Crossing West and another that handling affairs for Pioneer Crossing East. Membership in these HOAs is mandatory. The fees provide for landscaping and upkeep of the roads and entries to the neighborhood, and the community centers.
The East and West sections of Pioneer Crossing each have a community center with swimming pool, playground equipment for children, picnic areas and clubhouse.
Area Features ♦ Pioneer Crossing Austin Subdivision
Pioneer Crossing is close to I-35 (less than 5 minutes). It is also convenient to major employers Dell Computer, Samsung Electronics, the Walnut Creek Business Park and more! Downtown Austin is just a few minutes away, as are the cities of Pflugerville and Round Rock.
Shopping close to the Pioneer Crossing subdivision includes a Super Wal-Mart, an HEB grocery store, Golfsmith, Walgreens and CVS Pharmacies, the new Outlet Mall in Round Rock, and plenty more commercial development along I-35.
There are sidewalks throughout Pioneer Crossing, as well as access to walking paths along Walnut Creek. Some of the golf courses in the area are Bluebonnet Hills, Star Ranch, Teravista, ShadowGlen and Morris Williams. The neighborhood is not far from the Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park.
Among the other forms of entertainment or family outings near the neighborhood is the Jourdan-Bachman Pioneer Farms, located off E. Braker Lane on Pioneer Farms Road, on the south side of Pioneer Crossing. This is a site dedicated to the preservation of Texas history, including restored buildings. The features include a Blacksmith shop, homesteads, a barn, a museum and a general store. Pioneer Farms is staffed by volunteers and is open on Sundays and Fridays.
