The development of the Meadows at Double Creek began in 2007 by Newmark Homes. With the slowdown of the regional and national economies, progress in the community slowed also. Newmark sold its interests in the Meadows at Double Creek to Scott Felder Homes.

The Meadows at Double Creek subdivision has 125 single-family homes. It features a neighborhood park and playground for children.

Stores include major anchors WalMart and Target, and a host of well-known and lesser-known establishments. Options also include a movie theater complex, furniture stores and much more!

Other shopping outlets such as Cabela’s Outdoor World in Buda and others to the north on IH-35 are easily accessible from the Meadows at Double Creek. And, don’t forget that the many entertainment and eating places in Downtown Austin are within a few miles.

Among is parks located south of Lady Bird Johnson Lake is the Mary Moore Searight Park, a municipal park operated by the city of Austin. It is located just off W. Slaughter Lane near S. 1st. St. Other nearby parks include the Metro Park in Circle C Ranch, Zilker Park and McKinney Falls State Park. The subdivision is just a few miles from the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and the Veloway, a park for rollerblading and bicycle enthusiasts.
