The development of this area of Southwest Austin real estate began in 2001, and was completed around 2007. Homes in Loma Vista are actually built in two different sections: The Estates of Loma Vista and the Heights at Loma Vista. Both areas have rolling hills and mature trees that add beauty to the community. The homes are built with many modern features.
The homes in the Heights of Loma Vista were built by Meritage Homes and David Weekley homes. These 1- and 2-story homes are typically built on 0.2-0.25-acre lots. Homes in the Estates of Loma Vista are built on lots that range from 2/3 acre to over 9 acres.
Homes range in size from just over 2,500 sq. ft. to almost 4,700 sq. ft., and range in price from the $300's to the upper $500's.
Loma Vista ♦ The Location
The Heights of Loma Vista and the Estates of Loma Vista are very conveniently located in Southwest Austin. The neighborhoods are close to schools, jobs, recreation outlets (golf, fitness and parks) and many options for shopping. Residents can travel to Downtown Austin and points north via FM-1826/US-290W/Mopac. Nearby shopping centers include the Shops at Arbor Trails, Sunset Valley, Escarpment Village (Circle C Ranch) and Southpark Meadows. There are Freescale and AMD facilities close by.
Loma Vista ♦ Area Amenities and Home Owners Association
Homeowners are required to maintain membership in one of the homeowner associations in the neighborhood. Check with the HOA's for monthly fees.
There are a number of nearby parks and other attractions that residents can enjoy. These include the Dick Nichols Park on Beckett Road. It features a pool, sports courts, and picnic facilities. The Metropolitan Park in Circle C Ranch is also a popular destination. The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and the roller-skating and bicycling track called the Veloway are close by just off Mopac in the Circle C area.
Golfers have access to a number of golf courses, including the Grey Rock (Circle C Ranch) and Plum Creek Golf Clubs (Kyle).
