Sales of new construction homes began in early 2004, and are continuing in January 2013.
D.R. Horton is currently building its Classic series in Highland Park. Base prices start in the $160's and are built in the "Hyde Park" style. They range in size from around 1,240 to 2,403 sq. ft.
Homes that DR Horton built in Highland Park North are more traditional "suburban-style" homes that have 1,758 to 2,564 sq. ft. of living space. Prior builders Capital Pacific and Lennar built some larger homes in the neighborhood in the years 2005-2008.
Shopping, Golf and Other Area Features ♦ Highland Park & Highland Park North
Golf: Highland Park is located close to the Blackhawk Golf Club. This 18-hole links-style public course offers challenges to golfers of all skill levels. The course has trees, traps and water in places designed to penalize you for wayward shots. Tees meaure from 5,507 yards to 7,072 yards. The course also features a clubhouse and practice facility. Golfers also are not far from the Teravista and Forest Creek Golf Clubs.
Shopping and Commutes: The new Stone Hill Town Center, featuring Home Depot, Target and Best Buy is just east of Highland Park at SH-130 and SH-45. There is a Super WalMart near Highland Park (just south of Pflugerville Pkwy. on FM-685). Residents can get to shopping centers in nearby Round Rock, much of it centered at I-35 and SH-45, is relatively easy via the new SH-45 expressway. Highland Park is located about 20 miles from downtown Austin, making for a reasonable commute to jobs and other great features in the Austin area.

Membership in one of the neighborhood HOAs is required of homeowners: Highland Park North HOA or Highland Park HOA. HOA fees are around $32/month.
Tax rates for the community, located in the City of Pflugerville and Travis County, were around $2.81/$100 of property value in 2012. Rates typically change from year to year.
There is a community center in both of the major sections of Highland Park. Each features a swimming pool and play areas for children.
