Homes in Hays Country Oaks, Buda 78610!The Hays County Oaks development is actually divided into two sections--one on the east side of Elliott Ranch, the other on the west side of Elliott Ranch. The neighborhood has a definite country feel to it. 


Homes in Hays Country Oaks come in various sizes, ranging from a low of 1,072 sq. ft. to the largest house which has 5,150 sq. ft. Buyers can find a home there with up to 6 garage spaces, 3-6 bedrooms, and 1-4 full baths. These homes are all custom-built. Many will have some upgrades/updates that will appeal to homebuyers. Some will feature a swimming pool. Those who want to build a home in this community can occasionally find a vacant lot for sale.  


Another key feature: Trees! Most of these properties (1-10 acres) are blessed with many of them. 


Hays Country Oaks Community: Shopping, Recreation, Schools, HOA, Taxes, Etc.

The Downtown Buda business district has restaurants and small businesses. The City of Buda offices and Municipal Library in Downtown Buda are now located off Main ST.

Buda is home to Cabela’s outdoor sports store, WalMart, HEB grocery store, Walgreen's, and a lot of eateries. Shoppers can also venture south to Kyle to shop and eat at the Kyle CrossingKyle Marketplace, The Village at Kyle and Kyle Town Center shopsSuper Wal-Mart, Lowe's, Target, Home Depot, Ross, HEB Plus and many others.

There are new medical facilities in Buda, including the Baylor, Scott & White Medical Center Hospital. Off FM-2001. Kyle's Ascension Seton Medical Center Hays Hospital is located in The Village at Kyle.

The eastern side of Hays Country Oaks has no Homeowner's Association, but the western side (Hays County Oaks 2) has one. There are no community amenities. Property owners are assessed taxes yearly by several organizations, including the Hays Consolidated ISD and Hays County. 


Public school students attend schools of the Hays Consolidated Independent School District. Carpenter Hill Elementary, Dalstrom Middle and Johnson High are assigned to Hays Country Oaks students in February 2020. Johnson High will be fully operational in the fall of 2021.
