A view of homes in the Greyrock Ridge neighborhoodThe development of the Greyrock Ridge subdivision in Circle C Ranch is drawing to a close in January 2020. The neighborhood was begun in August 2013. Several builders have worked in Greyrock Ridge. These incude the original builder, Streetman Homes. The next builder was Standard Pacific Homes, purchased in the latter part of 2014 by Streetman Homes. In 2015, CalAtlantic Homes took the reins and continued building in Greyrock Ridge. In 2019, Village Builders (Lennar Homes) took over and is completing the build-out of the community. 

When completed the development will have 385 or so single-family homes on a total acreage of around 178 acres. The subdivision will have around 56 acres of open space.

Homes in Greyrock Ridge are either 1- or 2-story plans of varying sizes, with multiple finish-outs and personalizations.  

Greyrock Ridge in Southwest Austin ♦ Location, Shopping and Outdoor Amenities

The location of this development will appeal to many who are looking for a new home in the SW Austin and Circle C Ranch area. As homes have been built in the Circle C area, its popularity has grown and options for finding a new home close-in to jobs and Downtown Austin have diminished. This new development and the newish Standard Pacific Homes Avana-Esquel neighborhood are both being develoA view of the Greyrock Ridge amenity center signped on the S-SE perimeter of Circle C Ranch, with easy access to Mopac and SH-45.

Greyrock Ridge residents can shop in a number of developments, including those in Circle C Ranch (Escarpment Village and the new Parkside Village with its Alamo Drafthouse development). Also, the Shops at Arbor Trails on S. Mopac, Sunset Valley, the Barton Creek Square Mall and the popular Southpark Meadows center at I-35 and W. Slaughter Ln. offer great options for shopping and eating. The Circle C Ranch area offers several "outdoors" outlets, including walking trails, two large public parks (Metro Park in Circle C, Dick Nichols), the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, and the Veloway (for bicycling and rollerblading enthusiasts). Golfers can test their skills at the Grey Rock Golf Club, located on the south side of Circle C Ranch at SH-45.

The tax rates for Greyrock Ridge properties vary from yer to year. The primary taxing entities are the Austin Independent School District, Travis County and the City of Austin.

Utilities for Greyrock Ridge are provided by the City of Austin (water and wastewater) and by the Pedernales Electric Cooperative (electricity).

Homeowners in Greyrock Ridge are required to maintain an active membership in the Circle C Ranch Homeowners' Association.
