Horton. The Grand Oaks subdivision was completed in 2006. This neighborhood was developed on some lovely real estate that features plenty of mature oaks and green areas. Neighborhood Amenities: Jogging/biking trail, park, pond, basketball court, covered picnic area, playground for children. Grand Oaks Homes: T he homes in Grand Oaks are all 2-story, and are all painted in various muted pastel shades. The homes' exterior design is of an age gone by (vintage, or classic, much like those in D.R. Horton's Sweetwater Glen and Sage Meadow subdivisions), but the homes are thoroughly modern in their construction and features. The streets have roundabouts and speed bumps to slow traffic through the neighborhood and to discourage drivers who might want to cut through Grand Oaks. The neighborhood is conveniently located with good access to Mopac and I-35, downtown Austin and Austin activities, shopping and eating, parks and more.
