The Grand Oaks subdivision development began in 2003, with the first MLS-recorded home sales in February 2004. The neighborhood build-out was completed in 2006. Grand Oaks was developed on some lovely real estate that features plenty of mature oaks and green areas.

Jogging/biking trail, park, pond, basketball court, covered picnic area, playground for children.

The streets have roundabouts and speed bumps to slow traffic through the neighborhood and to discourage drivers who might want to cut through Grand Oaks.

The neighborhood is conveniently located with good access to Mopac and I-35, downtown Austin and Austin activities, shopping and eating, parks and more.

The Grand Oaks Homeowner's Association website contains a good bit of useful information for homeowners and prospective homeowners. In January 2013, Grand Oaks HOA fees were $75/qtr. Membership in the Grand Oaks HOA is required.

 

Taxes for owners of homes in Grand Oaks are typical of area neighborhoods that are within the City of Austin. Rates for 2012 were $2.38/$100 of property value. The primary taxing entities are Austin ISD, Travis County and the City of Austin.
