This community was begun in 2003 by Perry Homes, which built new homes in the neighborhood for roughly 6 years. Perry was joined in the work by MHI/Plantation Homes in 2004. Several other builders worked in Four Seasons Farm in the years 2007-2011. These included Tandis Homes, D. R. Horton Homes, AHA Dream Homes and Huitron Homes.
The first sale recorded in the MLS in Four Seasons Farm closed in January 2004. The last new home sale closed in May 2012 (started in 2011).
The neighborhood includes 325 homes in its 2 sections, which are separated by Lake Kyle and the Plum Creek Preserve. Plum Creek meanders directionally northwest to southeast just above the subdivision.

Shopping and eating options for the residents of Four Seasons Farm have grown vastly since the neighborhood was begun. These include developments along IH-35 in Kyle, such as the Kyle Marketplace and Kyle Crossing (HEB Plus, Target, Ross), and The Village at Kyle (WalMart SuperCenter & Lowe's). There is also a Home Depot at the next exit to the north in Kyle Town Center. Healthcare is available at Ascension Seton Medical Center Hays (late 2009) and at a number of emergency facilities in the area.
Further north there are options in Buda and South Austin, including Cabela's outdoor store (Buda) and the very popular Southpark Meadows development in South Austin (Sam's, WalMart, RoomStore, Target, and many more). Four Seasons Farm residents are also just a few miles from the San Marcos (Tanger Outlet & Premium Outlets, e.g.) and San Antonio areas and all they offer.
Connectivity: The main thoroughfare between San Antonio and Austin, IH-35, runs just to the west of Four Seasons Farm. This makes it pretty straightforward to get to places north and south. For those needing to get to the Austin Bergstrom airport, the SH-130 toll road is just a few miles to the north of Kyle.
Golf: The golf course closest to Four Seasons Farm is the Plum Creek Golf Course, located in Kyle. A number of other courses are available for those who are inclined to "play a round."
