The Enclave at Westgate was built on the southern end of South Austin's Cherry Creek development. The neigborhood was initially started by Cottage Craft Homes. It struggled for several reasons, including the state of the Austin-area economy and real estate market in 2009. Opus Homes completed the build-out of the community. The Enclave at Westgate is a "pocket" or "niche" communty that has just 48 homes.
Four different two-story plans were available from Opus Homes. They have either 3 or 4 bedrooms, 2.5-3.5 baths, and square footages from 1,674 to 2,041. These are energy-efficient homes with other features like granite countertops w/undermount SS sinks, 2-10 year limited warranty, 35-year rated shingles, inner doors with raised panels, and 14-SEER AC.

The Enclave at Westgate neighborhood has no amenities such as parks, playgrounds or pools. It is located quite well, however, with good access via Westgate Blvd. to shopping and parks along W. Slaughter Ln., and to others to the north at William Cannon Dr. and the US-290W/US-71 corridor. It is a short drive to Mopac or to IH-35 from the neighborhood.
Parks in the area include the Mary Moore Searight Metro Park, the Metro Park at Circle C Ranch and the Dick C Nichols Park. These parks provide a variety of recreational options. You can also find the Veloway (for bicycling and rollerblading) and the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center on the edge of the Circle C Ranch development. Zilker Park and other attractions are also nearby.
Golfers can play at several area courses, including the City of Austin's Kizerm Clay and Grey Rock courses, and the Plum Creek Golf Club.
