Homes in Elliott Ranch, Buda 78610!Elliott Ranch is an upscale, gated community located on the west side of Buda, TX, hidden "away from it all." Both entrances are gated, though there are some properties on Oak Grove RD that are outside the gate. Prices of the custom-built homes sold in Elliott Ranch in 2019 ranged from $450k to $740k.  


Historical MLS data shows that these houses, constructed in the years 2000 through 2013, range in size from 2,187 sq. ft. to almost 5,400 sq. ft. One or more vacant lots may be available if you wish to build your own custom house in Elliott Ranch.

Garages will have 3-5 spaces, though a few have 2 or 6 spaces. These homes typically have varying degrees of more modern updates and upgrades. Many of the homes feature a backyard swimming pool.


One thing is common in Elliott Ranch: trees that cover many of the 1-3 acre lots! You can find homes that back to Hill Country/greenbelt areas and have plenty of room to walk or run. Deer are commonly seen in Elliott Ranch.

The taxes on property owners in Elliott Ranch are assessed by Hays Consolidated ISD, Hays County and several other taxing entities. 

Elliott Ranch Community: Shopping, Recreation, Etc.


Residents of Elliott Ranch, though it is "secluded," have a lot of shopping and eating venues nearby. There are the quaint small businesses and restaurants in the Downtown Buda area (Main Street and FM-967), and a lot of others to the east toward IH-35. These include the The southern gate at Elliott Ranchvery popular Cabela’s outdoor sports store, WalMart, HEB grocery store, Walgreen's, and a lot of eateries, for example. South in the Kyle area, shoppers can find Super Wal-Mart, Lowe's, Target, Home Depot, Ross, HEB and many others in four retail developments (Kyle Crossing, Kyle Marketplace, The Village at Kyle, Kyle Town Center).


Medical facilities in Buda include the new Baylor Scott and White Hospital and several other new facilities. The Ascension Seton Medical Center Hays Hospital is located in The Village at Kyle.

Popular destination Southpark Meadows in South Austin is located a few miles away at IH-35 and Slaughter Ln. Elliott Ranch residents can easily access the San Marcos/New Braunfels area and the many options for shopping and recreation there. These include the popular Tanger Outlet and Premium Outlets centers in San Marcos.

Golfers can play at Kyle's Plum Creek Golf Course, or at other courses like the Grey Rock Golf Club in Circle C Ranch.

The City of Buda has a number of municipal parks scattered throughout the area. It is not far from Elliott Ranch to other Austin-area shopping centers and parks ... and to Downtown Austin.

Elliott Ranch Subdivision ♦ Public Schools

Students living in Elliott Ranch attend schools of the Hays Consolidated Independent School District. Those considering a home purchase in Elliott Ranch should verify which schools their students will attend with the Hays CISD. The schools assigned to Elliott Ranch students in November 2017 are Carpenter Hill Elementary, Dalstrom Middle, Johnson High School and Jack C. Hays High. The new Johnson high school near Elliott Ranch (on FM-967 west of FM-1626) is handling 9th and 10th grade levels in the Spring of 2020. It isill add a grade level each year for the next 2 years.
