The Colina Vista neighborhood is being developed by D.R. Horton Homes. In January 2013, the neighborhood is progressing nicely. The first home sale recorded in the Austin MLS was closed on 2/28/2011.

Colina Vista will have a total of 146 units (73 buildings) when the development is completed.

The model homes at Colina VistaA total of six floor plans are being built in Colina Vista. They have, per the builders plans, from 1,735 to 2,429 sq. ft. of living space. All are 2-story condos with 2-4 bedrooms, 2.5-3 baths and 2-car garages. They are built in a duplex style of two units per building.

The base prices in January 2013 run from $284,500 to $312,750. rices of these condo homes range average around $300k.

Portions of the development are built along the edge of the Balcones Canyonland Preserve, and provide their owners with super Hill Country views. These homes also were specially designed to enable them to be built with portions of their structures over the preserve. 

New construction in Colina VistaCondo homes in Colina Vista have many energy efficiency and other standard design features. Students living in Colina Vista attend schools operated by the Leander Independent School District. The schools assigned to the neighborhood for the 2012-2013 school year are River Place Elementary, Four Points Middle School, Vandergrift High School.
