The area covered by this web page includes the newish Barstow Court and Barstow Village, and the new Barstow Trail community (being developed in 2016). It is located on the north side of W. Slaughter Lane, just past Escarpment Village shopping center and the Vintage Place neighborhood (driving west).

Circle C North Overview

A view homes of the Circle C North neighborhood in SW Austin.Homes in the primary--and older-- Circle C North area were built in the years 1993 through 2002. The builders included Streetman Homes, Doyle Wilson Homes and Capital Pacific Homes. Barstow Ave. is the primary street leading to these homes.

These single-family residences have from 1,320 sq. ft. of living space to more than 2,800 sq. ft. Potential home buyers can find 1-story and 2-story residences, typically featuring 3-4 bedrooms (some have 5). These homes will normally have either 2 or 2.5 bathrooms, and 2 garage spaces (a few have 3-car garages). Some homes in Circle C North feature pools; many have a good number of well-established trees.

Barstow Court Circle C North 

Barstow Court Circle C North signBarstow Court was developed by Streetman Homes in 2013-2014. As you enter Circle C North from Slaughter Lane at Barstow Ave., this pocket community of 22 homes is located on the left. Homes in this neighborhood were offered with 8 floor plans, which included three 1-story homes with 1,869 to 2,074 sq. ft. of living area, and five 2-story models with 2,318 to 3,129 sq. ft.

Barstow Village Circle C North

Barstow Village, a very small niche community of just 6 homes, was developed at roughly the same time as those in Barstow Court. These homes are located just to the right as you enter Circle C North from Slaughter Ln. One Barstow Village home sale (2014), as recorded in the Austin MLS, shows a home size of 1,869 sq. ft.

Barstow Trail Circle C North

The Barstow Trail community will have 16 homes when it is completed. It is being developed by CalAtlantic Homes (formerly Standard Pacific Homes) in 2016. In May 2016, prices are still to be set by the builder, but homes available will include one single-story plan with 2,149 sq. ft. and 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. The four 2-story plans range in size from 2,808-3,107 sq. ft. and have 4 bedrooms and 3-4 bathrooms. All of these homes have a standard 2-car garage. Varying front/roof elevations are available, as are upgrade options for personalizing your home to match your tastes.

Amenities and Shopping for Circle C North Residents

Homeowners living in these sections of Circle C North have many nearby options for shopping, eating and recreation. The closest retail-eating outlets, Escarpment Village and Parkside Village, are located on W. Slaughter Ln. to the east of Circle C North. Other nearby major developments include Southpark Meadows (@ W. Slaughter & IH-35), the Shops at Arbor Trails (@ Mopac & William Cannon), and those in Sunset Valley.

The many amenities of Circle C Ranch (including the two community centers with swimming pools, walking trails and the Metro Park) are available for the use of homeowners. Membership in the Circle C HOA is required.

Residents can play golf at the Grey Rock Golf Club and Tennis Center (both fee-based and owned by the City of Austin). The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is located on the east side of Circle C Ranch, as is the Veloway (an outdoor facility for roller-blading and bicycling.

Circle C North is a short drive from Zilker Park, one of the most popular public parks in the Austin area. The neighborhood is just 9 miles from Downtown Austin and all it offers. 

Taxes in Circle C North, Barstow Court and Barstow Village are based on a cumulative 2015 tax rate of $2.296/$100 of assessed property value. Taxes are levied by the City of Austin, Travis County, the Austin Independent School District and others.
