History, Builder and Homes in the Bradshaw Crossing
The Bradshaw Crossing neighborhood is a development of Lennar Homes. Construction began in 2007, with the first MLS-recorded home sale closed in mid-May of that year. With the upturn of the Austin-area economy in 2013, the pace of building and home sales in Bradshaw Crossing picked up, and is continuing in 2018.
Lennar offers new 1- and 2-story homes in its Oak Knoll Collection with base prices in February 2018 beginning at $245,990. In its Ridgepoint Collection, Lennar offers homes with base prices starting at $240,990. These home plans include single-story and two-story models. Home sizes range from 1,242 sq. ft. to 2,871 sq. ft.
Lennar's "Everything's Included" homes include a long list of items such as granite countertops, large body tile, covered patios, and energy-efficient construction among other options, as standard in all homes.
Shopping, Entertainment and Other Area Attractions
This area of Southeast Austin has changed for the better over the past few years. Available shopping in the area includes the popular Southpark Meadows development, which in the summer of 2013 is still adding new businesses. Mainline stores like Sam's Club, Super Target, Best Buy, Super WalMart, restaurants, sporting goods, Marshalls, a movie theater, and more can be found in this development. It is located on the SW corner of IH-35 and W. Slaughter Lane.
The Bradshaw Crossing neighborhood is not far from other developments to the north on IH-35 and to the South in the Buda-Kyle area (including HEB and Cabela's). It also is a short drive from Bradshaw Crossing to Downtown Austin, Zilker Park, Lady Bird Johnson Lake and other area features.
Parks and Golf
In addition to the neighborhood pool (located at the south entrance to the subdivision), residents of Bradshaw Crossing have other opportunities for enjoying some of the area's nicest parks. These are the McKinney Falls State Park (located to the north off the McKinney Falls Parkway) and the Mary Moore Searight Metro Park (located off W. Slaughter Ln. just past South 1st St.).
Golfers can test their skills at the two local City of Austin courses (Clay and Kiker), the Plum Creek Golf Club (Kyle), the Onion Creek Country Club (located across Bradshaw Rd. from Bradshaw Crossing, South Austin) and the Grey Rock Golf Club (Circle C Ranch area, now owned by the City of Austin).
The Bradshaw Crossing Homeowner’s Association (HOA)
Membership in the Bradshaw Crossing Homeowner’s Association (HOA) is required. The fees include the use of the community pool and upkeep of common areas in the community. The HOA, managed by RealManage, provides a lot of helpful information on its website.
