The February 2020 builder line-up includes seven home builders: Buffington Homes, CastleRock HomesDream Finders Homes, Newleaf Homes, Pacesetter Homes, Empire Communities and Perry Homes.

The Blanco Vista Community is currently divided into several smaller neighborhoods that each have a place in the development of the overall community. Homes ire buit on lot sizes that vary in width. There are spots in Blanco Vista for family units, for singles, for empty-nesters, etc.

For nearby shopping, there are many facilities along IH-35 in San Marcos and New Braunfels. These include the San Marcos Tanger Outlet and Premium Outlets centers, restaurants, stores like Home Depot, WalMart, Target and many, many more. Just north of Blanco Vista you can find plenty of options in Kyle and in South Austin (Southpark Meadows, e.g.).

As with other HOAs, the fees are used for upkeep of common areas. Residents enjoy the hot summer days in the swimming pool of the Blanco Vista community center. The amenities include hike and bike trails and a fish pond.

The primary taxing entities include the City of San Marcos, Hays County, and the Hays Consolidated ISD.

Public Schools ♦ Students Living in the Blanco Vista Subdivision

Children living in Blanco Vista go to schools operated by the Hays Consolidated Independent School District (HCISD). Parents are encouraged to verify current school assignments with the Hays CISD since school attendance boundaries are sometimes redrawn.
